Dr. Bob Dixon
After completing his residency in Radiology at SUNY Upstate Medical Center and his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of North Carolina, Dr. Dixon joined the faculty at UNC from 2004 – 2021. He served as the Residency Program Director for 10 years while at UNC before joining the faculty at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2022. He is board certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and serves as an examiner for the American Board of Radiology.

His areas of interest include medical education, global health, prostate artery embolization, complex IVC filter removals, vertebral augmentation, oncologic interventions, hepatobiliary interventions, and radiation safety. His work with RAD-AID, an international non-profit organization, resulted in the creation of an Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Nairobi in 2020.

He joined IR Centers in 2023 and works at the AUNC Raleigh office and the Urology Associates of SE NC Leland office.
