Rachel Piechowiak, DO
Dr. Rachel Piechowiak is a Board-Certified Vascular & Interventional Radiologist at the LMG Interventional Radiology Center in Reston, Virginia. She completed her Interventional Radiology fellowship at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, where she was chosen as Chief Resident. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and also holds a Master’s Degree in Cellular, and Molecular Biology from the University at Buffalo.
She has pioneered the development of novel minimally invasive treatments for Knee Pain, Frozen Shoulder, and Hemorrhoids, leading multiple US clinical research trials.
Dr. Piechowiak is a national expert in Prostatic Artery Embolization for BPH, with a patient-experience in the top 10 physicians in the United States. She has numerous publications in national peer-reviewed journals, including two interventional journals: Journal of Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Piechowiak also serves as an invited faculty member for one of the largest medical meetings focused on minimally invasive treatments of common medical conditions.
Dr. Piechowiak has extensive clinical expertise over more than 10 years, with a focus on embolization and vascular procedures, offering patients a minimally invasive alternative to more invasive surgery.
