Dr. Santiago Cornejo
Dr. Santiago Cornejo is a board certified Interventional Radiologist in the Phoenix area with over 9 years of clinical practice. After graduating from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2006 he completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. After residency Dr. Cornejo completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional radiology at Henry Ford Hospital followed by an advanced fellowship in Image Guided procedures and body imaging at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale in 2014. Since 2014 Dr. Cornejo has been practicing at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, the majority of this time serving as Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. During this time Dr. Cornejo developed special interest in various embolization procedures, interventional oncology, interventions for thromboembolic disease and portal hypertension. Dr. Cornejo has been involved with medical education throughout his career and is Assistant Clinical Professor with the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix and Associate Professor with Creighton School of Medicine in Phoenix. Dr. Cornejo has joined IR Centers in Phoenix to provide high quality, minimally invasive therapies with emphasis on genitourinary, musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal interventions.
