Dr. Stuart Singer
Dr. Singer completed a 5-year Penn State/ Jefferson Medical College program in 1982. He was doing nephrostomies and biliary drainages at Jefferson on a surgical subspecialty elective as a 4th year medical student. After a transitional internship at Wilmington Medical Center, he completed a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Vermont.
He completed a 2-year cardiovascular fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. While there, he completed foundation in vivo research that demonstrated the efficacy of pulsatile thrombolysis. in
As the first fellowship trained IR in Syracuse, NY at Crouse Hospital, NY, he pioneered interventional oncology, uterine fibroid embolization, uterine AVM embolization, fallopian tuboplasty for infertility, cementoplasty with cryoablation, tumor RFA, Cyro, and then microwave ablation. He has trained many FSIR members during his career. He moved to the Syracuse VA in 2020 for a full time IR job. Dr. Singer was inducted into the FSIR in Pheonix, AZ, in February 2023.
